Here at SWCS, we are all about community. The conservation movement's most crucial asset is the growing community of people on the ground making it happen. It is hard work and not for the faint of heart. It takes people with steadfast curiosity and passion for our world's natural resources. It takes people who see the vision for our planet and are driven to ensure a long-term impact. It takes people that are not only not afraid to get dirty but actually enjoy playing in the SOIL! It takes people that do the work!

So August 28th – September 4th, SWCS is excited to host our first Conservation Professionals Week! The goal of this week is to lift up the amazing conservation professionals across the globe and bring awareness to the crucial work they do to protect and preserve two of earth's most vital resources, soil and water. We will share stories, spotlight members, and showcase all the amazing work conservationists do daily to make this world a better place.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Become a Conservation Ambassador. We are looking for individuals who want to collaborate with us to promote conservationists. As a Conservation Ambassador, you will help this week be a success by simply engaging for a few minutes each day on social media and sharing some unique content. We will provide you with examples, ideas, photos, and any other support you may need. If you are interested, please contact SWCS Communications Coordinator Emma Harper at emma.harper@swcs.org.
  • Share Your Own Stories. We want to hear from you! Share your work on social media, tag us, and use the hashtag #ConservationistsWork.
  • Follow SWCS and Engage on Social Media. If you haven’t already, follow us on your favorite social media and like, comment, and share our content!
