Cultivating Conversations: How and Why Illinois Farms Implement Edge-of-Field Practices - June 25 from 9AM - 2:30PM

Join the Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership and University of Illinois Extension for "Cultivating Conversations: A Panel Discussion and Communications Training for Edge-of-Field Farmers." Hear from four Illinois farmers about why they decided to implement edge-of-field practices on their land, what benefits they are seeing on their farms, and the role edge-of-field practices play in protecting Illinois' streams, rivers, and lakes. The event will conclude with a presentation by Catherine DeLong, Water Quality Program Manager for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Catherine will share practical strategies and considerations farmers should use when communicating the positive impact these practices have on water quality, land stewardship, and rural resiliency. Morning refreshments and lunch will be offered. Registration is required.
