This workshop is a hands-on educational experience focusing on local watersheds and the importance of Florida aquifers, with a spotlight on Silver Springs. Through interactive STEAM activities along the Ross Allen Boardwalk, participants, including youth, families, nature lovers, and environmentalists, will explore the interconnectedness of water bodies, understand human impacts on watersheds, and appreciate the significance of the Silver Springs watershed.
This engaging event aims to raise awareness and promote responsible water stewardship in an enjoyable and informative setting. This event is brought to you by the Soil and Water Conservation Society, Silver Springs State Park, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, and the Marion Soil and Water Conservation District.
This workshop is included with your admission ticket to the park. Additional opportunities, like a glass bottom boat tour or kayaking, are available for purchase at the front of the park or online at silversprings.com.
